(4) S31 and P32_
: Solution :
NOTE :
I have highly targeted a common psychology of students - option (1) is correct answer in rare cases. Most students also trust option (3) or (2) more than option (1) or (4) when it comes to deciding answer when they are stuck. Mind well - if the examiner is somebody like me - he/she can be deadly by taking advantage of wrong mindsets. So please pay attention - No particular option is privileged. Let’s see how much you can keep this in mind.

Q16 -
Statement 1 : Lac operon is the prototype operon.
Statement 2 : Lac operon is regulated by the amount of lactose in the medium.
(1) Both statements are true
(2) Both statements are false
(3) Statement 1 is true and statement 2 is false
(4) Statement 1 is false and statement 2 is true_
: Solution :
NOTE :
If you didn’t pay attention - then you may conclude statement 2 as true - indeed you are right (luckily) according to NCERT ! In real technical way - statement 2 should be false because it is not the amount of lactose which is more significant but whether lactose is present or not - which is more important. This was worthy of mentioning because someone might think this way. But since overthinking is toxic especially in a an exam like NEET (UG) - follow NCERT statements strictly.
You can relate that spermiation question of NEET (UG) 2022 with this - I said - don’t overthink on NEET (UG) questions. NTA will give “simple clear cut” answer - sometimes not even thinking technically.........
