How to analyse Mock Tests- Mock Test Analysis. NEET Guidelines

 Key Points:

  • Mock tests are important because they give you an actual feel of the exam before the actual exam.
  •  Analyzing your mocks can actually improve your performance by the time you actually appear for the actual exam.
  •  As far as analyzing your mock test is considered physics chemistry and biology every subject has a different strategy.

The important point
is that what things should you analyze?

Should you analyze the right answers?

 No.

Something which you're getting right now
you will get them right during your
actual exam as well.

Should you analyze the wrong answers?

Yes.

Why  you're getting them wrong?

Four categories of mistakes:

Broadly group the mistakes (obviously there will be other types of  mistakes as well) into three categories.

  First is a silly mistake

  • You know these questions.
  • You understand the  concepts of this question.
  • You will  definitely arrive at the right answer  when you are in a relaxed state probably  but during the mock maybe or over  excitement or under confidence you markednit wrong.
  • Solution : Give more and more mock test & silly mistakes will improve.

Second is Wrong Concept use

  • You know these questions.
  • You understand the  concepts of this question.
  • You have just applied wrong concepts.
  • Solution : Practice similar Questions again and again.

Third is not knowing concept

  • You don't  understand what the concept is.
  • You don't  have any idea.
  • Solution: In such a scenario i'll  say  look at previous year questions : if  similar questions have been asked fair  enough & if they haven't been asked let it go.
It doesn't really  matter if it hasn't been as in past 10  years there's a very high chance that it  won't be asked this time as well.

Forth is Factual Mistakes

  • As  far as chemistry in organic chemistry  and biology is concerned uh they are  mostly factual errors.
  • You are not able  to remember the facts: they can be  the factual errors.
  • Two types of Fatual errors: - Things which are not remembering from  NCERT and things which are remembering  from NCERT.
  • Solution: If you're you are not able to  remember something which is outside of  NCERT in that particular mock i'll say  doesn't really matter. Just  move on .
  •  Solution: But if you're not remembering  something from NCERT then read that  chapter and read those particular  paragraphs and than understand NCERT again.
