Cell Cycle And Cell Division
- Having a hard time to remember? Go through the section and get the know-how of topics at your finger tips!
1
Cell Cycle The cell cycle is a 5 step process that includes - G1 phase, Synthesis phase, G2 phase, Mitosis, and Cytokinesis. The sequence of the cell cycle sometimes gets very confusing. Don't worry, we can learn the complete sequence of the cell cycle by remembering this simple phrase -"Go! Sahil Go! Make Cupcakes".
2
Mitosis Mitosis is the process in which a single cell divides into two identical daughter cells. The process of mitosis starts after the interphase, stages of mitosis are Prophase Metaphase Anaphase Telophase. After the telophase, the cytoplasm of the cell divides into two daughter cells by the process called cytokinesis. To remember the sequence of Mitosis, just remember "I Prefer Milk and Tasty Cupcakes".
3
Prophase I of Meiosis Prophase I is the first stage of Meiosis I. Prophase I is further divided into Leptotene, Zygotene, Pachytene, Diplotene, and Diakinesis. These subdivisions can easily be remembered by using the mnemonic: Lazy Zebra Push Dumb Donkey.

Cytokinesis in Plant and Animal Cells Cytokinesis is a process through which the two daughter cells are formed from a single eukaryotic cell. It occurs differently in both the animal and plant cell. It very confusing and hard to remember. To remember, how it occurs in both the plants and animals, just check out this trick.
